Sustainability is an essential driver for innovation at Smithers-Oasis.
We are proud to be the first in our industry to eliminate chlorofluorocarbons in our floral foam production. We have also refined our manufacturing processes to significantly reduce our volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and rates of manufacturing scrap.
In addition, our OASIS® Floral Foams are the first and only floral foams to offer biodegradability. Rates of degradation vary depending on production location because raw materials and formulations vary. All biodegradability tests are conducted by an independent laboratory and are verified and certified by an independent third party.
Over time, we have been able to develop increasingly sustainable products with biodegradable and compostable attributes that increase their recyclability. The products, which prioritize the use of recycled content, maintain their quality and reliability while consuming less resources.
