Since 2013, when we made a commitment to our Three Pillars of Sustainability, we have invested in the efficiency of our operations, training for employees, and research and development to continue to enhance the sustainability profile of our products. Our goal is to apply sustainable practices across our business while making a positive and lasting impact on our employees, customers and communities. As a global company, we believe in sharing our sustainability journey.

People

Smithers-Oasis promotes respect for individual employees by providing healthy and safe work environments throughout our global organization. We conduct ongoing safety training and regular onsite reviews of working conditions to ensure we meet and exceed all applicable labor codes. We support open and honest communications and dialogue as part of an inviting and rewarding work environment where personal and professional development is recognized and rewarded.

Planet

Smithers-Oasis is continuously evaluating the products we make and how we make them. Creating products through sustainable means is our goal, and we have achieved significant reductions of waste in our manufacturing facilities. We are working to have as many of our products as possible to be reusable, recyclable, biodegradable, or made from sustainable ingredients with a reduced environmental impact.

Prosperity

While sustaining our organization means earning a profit and reasonable growth, we can only do that by creating products and services that help our customers and their customers prosper and grow. We work across industries to learn what key stakeholders need to succeed, and we use that feedback to generate innovations for long-term sustainable development.
