The showroom is coming straight to florist’s door with Smithers-Oasis Adria’s OASIS® Floral Products vans! Because many florist shops operate with only one person on shift, leaving the store to purchase products can be challenging. For eight years, Smithers-Oasis Adria drove a large van full of OASIS® Floral Products to florist’s businesses to simplify ordering. The concept was a huge success and made the ordering process easier while introducing florists to new products they could see and feel before ordering. Product dimensions were easier to understand, and product questions could be immediately answered.
Smithers-Oasis Adria continued serving florists around Slovenia. After eight years, the near daily trips took a toll on the vans. They became outdated, too large for their needs, and less fuel efficient. When upgrading, Smithers-Oasis Adria opted for a smaller, more cost-effective van, that could still host full-sized product examples. They needed to get creative and find a new way to display all their offerings in a smaller vehicle.
Using special net walls inside the vans, Smithers-Oasis Adria was able to display portable products in a variety of colors, sizes, and patterns. Newly installed LED lights ensured customers could easily view the products inside the van. Some products are hung from the ceiling to display the full range of wire, ribbon, and other accessories offered! For the largest OASIS® Floral Products, they designed custom product stickers to illustrate every size to scale. Other products have boards cut to available sizes for tangible merchandise representations.
With convenient access to full-size models, florists can confidently select the products they need. Smithers-Oasis Adria’s innovative approach reduces purchasing errors and emissions while creating a personalized customer experience.
