KENT, Ohio – May 2018 – Smithers-Oasis Company, a worldwide leader in providing solutions throughout the plant and flower supply chain from propagation to consumer, announces the appointment of David Cervantes to territory sales manager, Oasis Grower Solutions.

In the position, Cervantes plans to develop new markets in Spain and Portugal, cultivate distributors and provide customer technical support. Prior to joining Smithers-Oasis Company, Cervantes was employed at Semilleros Vica plant in Almeria, Spain.

“The appointment of David Cervantes is part of our strategic growth plan to significantly increase Smithers-Oasis’ brand Oasis^® Grower Solutions’ sales through a channel-focused effort,” said Bill Riffey, general manager, grower operations, Americas, Europe and Africa.

Cervantes earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Almería and his MBA in renewable energies, fuel cells and hydrogen from the International University of Menendez Pelayo, Madrid, Spain.

Cervantes resides in Almeria, Spain.
