Design Celebrating Smithers-Oasis' 50th Anniversary
To celebrate the invention of OASIS® floral foam, Naoki Sasaki has created this "Japanese Beauty" design, featuring spatial art by the line of the individual flower.
Flowers & Foliage
Iris leaf
Dahlia
Blueberry
Checker berry
Mini apple
How to put it together
Soak the OASIS® floral foam brick in water and put it on the tray. Curve the wire to make the basic shape of a crescent and insert the top of it into the foam brick. Put Iris leaves on both sides of the wire with OASIS floral adhesive. Some leaves and Dahlia are arranged to emphasize the crescent line.
To stand out the large Dahlia, cut one corner of the OASIS® floral foam brick and arrange it, balancing the crescent shape of leaf and the squared shape of the floral foam brick. Small apples are put on the floral foam brick as an accent.
Cut Blueberry leaves and arrange them like broken fallen leaves. Vivid red it peeping out from the brown gradation. Pour water into the tray and float leaves and apples.
It is at this time that Sasaki reveals his unique work celebrating the 50th anniversary of OASIS® floral foam!
