Proud to Show Its Colours
Proud to show its colours, OASIS® Rainbow™ Foam doesn't like to hide! It is a genuine design accessory that reduces the amount of foliage required, while adding colour and visual impact.

Pascal Phaner, prestigious French florist and OASIS® Ambassador, is one of the leading florists in this "Rainbow Planet." Here, he gives us a small part of his huge inspiration.

You can also have fun with OASIS® Rainbow™ Foam, but remember, you have to show off this new foam generation to get the maximum pleasure out of it!

Materials needed:

OASIS® Rainbow™ Foam:
  • 3 Sunny Yellow bricks

  • 2 Charcoal Gray bricks

  • 1 Charcoal Gray foam, 2 cm tart

  • OASIS Pinholder
    OASIS Fix
    OASIS Anchor Tape
    OASIS Bindwire*
    Flat glass bowl

    Flowers & Foliage
    6 Achillea (Yarrow)
    4 Delphinium
    9 Eremurus (Foxtail Lilies)
    6 Helianthus (Sunflower)
    10 Lathyrus (Sweet Pea)

    How to put it together

    1. Float soak the floral foam in a solution of water and floral preservative, preferrably a clear solution. Fix the OASIS Pinholder with OASIS Fix and stick on an Anchor tape "star." Let the OASIS Bindwire* go through the pinholder holes. Tart of Charcoal Gray will be fixed with bindwire string.
    1. Cut the bricks into small triangles (size +/- 8cm) that will be set up around the central block. Use the toothpicks to lock them. Vary triangle directions to bring dynamism to the base. (Be sure the foam is wet when you cut into shapes, to avoid crushing the cell structure that provides water to the flowers.)
    1. Keep on adding triangles progressively, mixing colour and direction alternatively.
    1. Flowers are inserted by groups and in a parallel style. Starting with Eremurus, then Delphinium, Helianthus, then Achillea, and at the end, the Lathyrus.

    Pascal's Suggestions...
This type of creation can be achieved for small table arrangements, as well as for realizations with bigger volumes. You can play with flower colours and OASIS® Rainbow™ Foam colours to find other harmonious combinations. Here are a few suggestions from Pascal:

    • Ivory and black for the foam, and white for the flowers, to generate a rather cold atmosphere

    • Lime green and sky blue

    • A mix of various colours to create a Carnival atmosphere (Harlequin theme)
