Advent Wreath Radiates Warmth
Françoise Vandonink has brought new meaning to the spirit of Advent with this stunning floral ring. One can almost smell the scent of the flowers being kindled by the candles' flames, accentuated by Françoise's selection of warm colors and textures, making this design - truly ethereal.
Materials needed:
- NaylorBase® Ring 35 cm
- OASIS® Floral Adhesive
- OASIS Clear Life*
- OASIS Spray Color*
- 4 Candles
- Carton Rope Ribbon
- Dried Natural Decorative Fruits
- Dried Rose Leaves
- Decorative Needles (6cm long)
Foliage
- Aspidistra or Cordyline Leaves
Flowers
- Anthurium "Laguna"
- About 10 Roses "Metalina"
- Hydrangea

How to put it together

- Totally saturate the ring in water. Arrange little groups of Hydrangea throughout the ring in an asymmetrical manner. [i]Tip: for a quick and easy finish, you can first paint the base of the ring in an appropriate color.[/i]

- Roll the Aspidistra leaves into small rolls and glue them together with OASIS floral adhesive. Arrange the rolls and the Hypericum next to the Hydrangea. [i]Tip: you can glue the leaves together and fix them with clothes-pins, so you can continue working. When the glue has hardened, you remove the pins and continue with the leaves.[/i]

- Arrange the Anthurium in a 2-by-2 fashion, making sure they "look" upward. Weave the carton ribbon through the leaf rolls, so it creates elegant movement. Arrange the wild rose between the other materials. The dried fruits are painted prior in an appropriate color, and pinned with the needles.

- Put the candles on wires and fix them accordingly in the arrangement. Because of the asymmetrical placement, the candles will not be placed on four cornerpoints, but also in an asymmetrical manner. Arrange the roses between the other materials, so that no openings remain. Once finished, you can spray the arrangement with OASIS Clear Life*, which will guarantee a very long life span. For an added touch, glue the dried rose leaves in a scattered manner in several locations on the carton ribbon, and lightly sprinkle them around the base of the design.
