Hanne Hosbond is one of the new stars in the Scandinavian firmament. Trained in a well-known flower shop in Denmark and owner of her own shop, Botanik, from 1987 until recently when Hanne decided to become a full-time professional designer.
In 1994, Hanne won the Danish Interflora Championship and in 1995, she represented Denmark at the Interflora European Contest in Germany. Despite her busy schedule, Hanne finds the time to teach at a flower school, has graduated as international judge, is president of a local division of the Danish Florist Association and is active in the Interflora Association as well.
Hanne is very much in demand in Scandinavia and has recently done three trend shows on Valentine's Day for the Dutch Flower Council.
Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is the day when hearts come out in full bloom... that's why the Oasis Heart is the ideal choice for a Valentine's arrangement. The heart shape and great stability of the Oasis Heart allows me to make both traditional arrangements, as well as new and creative solutions.

Instructions
- Trim off the sharp edge of the heart to get a rounded shape. Cover the edge with wired rose leaves all the way around.
- Cover the heart with the kalanchoe heads.
- Take the berries of the hypericon and viburnum and wire them with 5 cm (2") long pieces of wire. Insert the berries between the kalanchoe and rose leaves. Extend the point of the heart to give life to the design.
- Finally, put a cluster of hypericon leaves at the left side of the heart and place the long-stemmed rose right through the heart, like a Cupid's bow.
Here you've got an arrangement that is sure to win the heart of your beloved.
