November sees the start of the OASIS® Floral Products 'Search for a Star' with the launch of the 2008 OASIS® Academy Floristry Competition, when florists who want to make it to the top, can start registering for one of the most exciting competitions to be held in the UK.
You see, OASIS® Floral Products have always aimed to not only help florists become more successful and profitable but develop talent as well. Talent that can go onto bigger and greater things... be it the international competition arena or even as one of their Ambassadors... the men and women who travel the world to promote and encourage top floristry.
And that's where the Academy Competition comes in; this national competition will start with regional heats around the UK. It's completely free to enter... everything is supplied from container to flower...contestants will complete a range of designs... both commercial and free form...with the six top scoring contestants going through to the Grand Final.
What's more, the restrictions on entry are minimal. You must be sure that you have the essential ingredients of talent, skill, vision and the ability to communicate it to your peers. If you believe you've got all of that, and more, then we want it! The OASIS® Academy Floristry Competition is more than just about winning a trophy; it's a competition that could really get you into the big time simply because OASIS® Floral Products is offering the winner so much more than a trophy and prize money alone.
